Heart Shaped Lake In Pakistan
Shimshal is the last remnant of true Hunza culture that exists near Pakistan's Pamir range, east of the town of Passu in upper Hunza valley.Our walk begins at Dut and we reach the remote village of Shimshal in about three days. At each step we are amazed how a path has been carved in this deep and narrow ravine on the way to Shimshal. The reason why Shimshal was located in such an out-of-the-way place is because this is where the Mir (ruler) of Hunza used to send his people who were found guilty of crimes and also those who he just did not like! Shimshalis now are a proud and hardy folk. Their hospitality is legendary and the natural beauty that they inhabit makes us feel that perhaps the Mir sentenced them to heaven, not hell!Shimshalis now are a proud and hardy folk.Their hospitality is legendary and the natural beauty that they inhabit makes us feel that perhaps the Mir sentenced them to heaven, not hell! Our trek now veers northwards from Shimshal and we enter the lovely and remote Ghujerab valley. Here we cross the Boesam Pass and the Chapchingiol Pass to reach the trail head at Kuksel. This is where we meet the KKH and our jeeps, which will transport us back to Hunza.

Pine Tree
Pine tree branches are produced during upward growth of the main steam shoot, braches appearing in regular "pseudo whorls", (a very tight spiral but appearing like a set of branches all branching out from the same height on the main trunk). Interestingly, the spiral arrangement of branches, needles, and cone scales resemble Fibonacci number ratios (following the numeric golden rule in nature). On Pine trees, the new shoots of branches are sometimes called "candles". The "Candles" consist of a bud scale either brown or cream color, pyramidal in shape pointing upwards, covering a wad of new needles surrounding the branch bud. The bud scale eventually falls off and the needles spread outward.

Boomslang
The boomslang is a small, beautiful, and brightly colored snake. Its venom is released through its fangs at the rear of its jaw rather than at the front. The effect of the snakebite will normally be felt after several hours. It can cause internal and external bleeding since the blood clotting process is disabled. The boomslang is normally found in Africa. It is not as aggressive as other types of snake as it would prefer to retreat than to attack. While deaths caused by a boomslang’s bite are relatively rare, it still remains dangerous with a high venom toxicity of 0.07 LD50.
Tiger Snake
The tiger snake is striped like real tigers. There are several varieties of this snake that can be found in different places but it is predominantly present in Australia. Some of its favorite spots are coastal areas and creeks. The median lethal dose for the tiger snake varies from an LD50 of 0.4 for the Chappell Island tiger snake variety and it can go as low as 0.12 for the peninsular tiger snake. A tiger snakebite that remains untreated can rapidly cause problems in breathing, paralysis, and even death 60% of the time

Tulip
The tulip is a perennial, bulbous plant with showy flowers in the genus Tulipa, of which around 75 wild species are currently accepted[1] and which belongs to the family Liliaceae.The genus's native range extends west to the Iberian Peninsula, through North Africa to Greece, the Balkans, Turkey, throughout the Levant (Syria, Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan) and Iran, North to Ukraine, southern Siberia and Mongolia, and east to the Northwest of China. The tulip's centre of diversity is in the Pamir, Hindu Kush, and Tien Shan mountains. It is a typical element of steppe and winter-rain Mediterranean vegetation. A number of species and many hybrid cultivars are grown in gardens, as potted plants, or as cut flowers.

Bananaquit
is a species of passerine bird of uncertain relation. It is tentatively placed in the tanager family, but classified as incertae sedis by other authorities such as the American Ornithologists' Union. Its classification is debated, and it is often placed in its own family: Coerebidae. It has recently been suggested the bananaquit should be split into three species, but this has yet to receive widespread recognition. This small, active nectarivore is found in warmer parts of the Americas, and is generally common.

Pelican
A pelican has many adaptations that help it catch the fish it eats. Air pockets in its bones help the bird float. Webbed feet are perfect for paddling along the surface of the water. And that big pouch of skin under a pelican’s beak is super for scooping up a meal! A pelican may eat up to 4 pounds of fish each day!
Scottish Fold
The first thing you notice about a Scottish Fold cat are that its ears are folded forward and downward.
The Scottish Fold is a very unique and delightful cat with a sweet temperament. They require minimal care to maintain health and vigour. The Fold has developed a look all it's own, being a medium cat with a rounded, well-padded body and a soft, dense coat. The eyes are round, broadly spaced, giving an innocent and sweet expression.
Russian Blue Cat
The Russian Blue has a quiet sometimes shy although very affectionate personality. They are very soft spoken and you rarely hear them speak. They are very well suited to indoor life.
The Russian Blue's quiet tranquil personality may best suit a family with the same characteristics. They are very loyal and become devoted to their owners.
The Russian Blue is an intelligent cat, playful and sweet. They like to join in family activities.
Maine Coon Cat
Maine Coons are a very large cat and it is not unusual for a male to weigh more than 9 kilos. The females weigh in at a little less. The Maine Coon has a long shaggy coat which is silky to feel. The Maine Coons coat is is water resistant and they are very easily groomed. Maine Coons have tufted ears and an extra long flowing tail.
